Ahadi is a Mushi-Nande, second generation Canadian Immigrant in the University of Manitoba’s Environmental Design program.  He holds a minor degree in Art history, has done extensive research examining the role of aesthetic’s in pre-colonial and post-colonial contexts, and is interested in the legacy of Black art and design in Western culture. Ahadi is deeply invested in architecture’s critical role in our zeitgeist - be that ‘post-truth,’ ‘neo-modern,’ or something in between or beyond - and wants to explore its functions through de-colonial and non-Eurocentric aesthetics.
